We’re in awe of our client John, who was inspired by the incredible Captain Sir Tom Moore to take on his own mammoth walking challenge, to raise money for NHS staff and Manchester communities.
John has cerebral palsy and is almost entirely wheelchair-bound and dependent on support from a PA 24 hours a day, but he was determined to achieve his goal and trained hard for weeks with his physiotherapist to build up to the walk.
On the day, John successfully walked a planned route around Manchester, through the Arndale to Piccadilly Gardens, with support from his physiotherapist and using a walking frame.
