Jonah's marathon Innowalk challenge

We’re enormously proud of our young client Jonah, who has found a fantastic way to use his time in isolation productively – keeping active and raising money for his school at the same time.

Unable to join his brothers in their daily outdoor exercise, due to being at high risk of infection, Jonah has instead decided to take on the epic challenge of jogging a marathon a month in his Innowalk while his school is closed.

To keep him motivated, Jonah is hoping to raise funds for an adapted minibus for his school, so that when they return, the students can all go on trips together, as well as accessing college links and work placements.

Jonah’s case manager, Lucy Wood, said:

“Jonah has found an amazing way of keeping busy and active while he is having to stay home and is an inspiration to us all! He loves his school and the money raised from this challenge will mean that he and his friends can go on bigger, better adventures when they return. I’m so proud of Jonah and his fantastic support workers who are helping him to achieve his goal.”

Jonah has already passed his initial fundraising target, and as the support continues to come in, we wish him the best of luck with this challenge.
